MAKE YOUR MARK.
YOU CAN LEAVE A LEGACY ON THE STREETS OF NORTHEAST OHIO
The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District manages thousands of sewer manholes in our region. We are planning to add a few more, but before we do, we want to see your designs. Your creativity could be part of northeast Ohio's streets for years to come, and it could benefit local families, too.
Design a manhole cover we can use as a design standard for future Project Clean Lake green-infrastructure projects.
The winning design will become a standard whenever new storm sewer manholes are included in Project Clean Lake construction. Our infrastructure projects can last more than 75 years, giving your design a lasting legacy. The winner will also receive his or her choice of either a $500 cash prize, or having a $500 donation made in the artist's name to his or her choice of Community Shares, United Way, or UNCF. Details.
All entries must be received via our online entry form by 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014.
MORE ABOUT PROJECT CLEAN LAKE
Project Clean Lake is a 25-year program to control combined sewer overflows, a source of billions of gallons of pollution affecting Lake Erie every year. Through a unique combination of gray infrastructure projects like huge tunnels, and green infrastructure projects like stormwater management, the result will be a cleaner Great Lake.
